Lesson 1: What Is An Ambience Player?
Ambience gigs are different than shows. You are there to enhance the event, not be the event. These gigs are profitable and often a lot less work than the usual solo bar gig.

ABOUT THE COURSE CREATOR
Hi, I’m Kate Chanson!
This all started out as a dream...
I wanted to be a glamorous vintage jazz singer.
I wanted to make enough money to support myself and my son. I was determined to create a life where we could be happy and safe.
I moved back home to Park City, Utah in 2022 as a single mother to my then two year old son. I was completely broke. I put all of my music equipment on credit cards and went all in.
I believed in myself.
Anytime I could get childcare, I would doll up, take my business cards and market myself in hotels, restaurants and bars.
I sang on the streets to get businesses to notice me and to make money for groceries.
I was determined and nothing could stop me.
Fast Forward, it’s Spring of 2025. I am the top booked and top paid musical artist in a thriving music community.
I released my own original album, I play several shows a week and I make $6,000-$12,000 a month just off of music.
My son and live happily in our penthouse apartment right in town. I fully support us with my music career.
If I can do it- you can too.
I am building this course to share what I have learned. I hope all of your dreams come true.
